The Color Fields, Actual Collection

"A life of staring at the horizon looking for horizontal energy to ride and experience."

Small format camera work has traditionally been used as a process for working ideas out -- like a painter uses sketches or an author uses notes - to apply to the large format image. The series ‘color fields, actual’ is an exception to this usage. The non verbal dialogue expressed in these images represent poetic form: as in verbal and written poetry, there is meter and rhyme.

Look for echo as rhyme and subject intersections as meter. The echo can be between different images or in a single image. Representation of the shape in a lateral form refers to color-field paintings in abstract art. Except in the case of these color fields, one stands inside to experience the 'actual', not the virtual.
