The Fractal Forest Collection

The Fractal Forest essay was done in May and June of 1984. It was shot from different locations on the northern Malaysian half of the island of Borneo. By 1994 most of the jungle shown in these images had been replaced by oil palm plantations. The Iban people in these areas were relocated to government city longhouses, destroying their culture.
